Country Soul - Motown, soul and country
This soulful singing duo builds a musical bridge back to the good old days of AM/FM radio when Motown, soul and country were warming our hearts and keeping us real. "
If you yearn for rich two part harmonies, lyrics that pay tribute to romance & true love, and music that kept you slow dancing right up till curfew, then you must check out Country Soul."
Ed Pettersen - singer/songwriter with a varied repertoire ranging from uptempo country rock, acoustic folk tunes, and a variety of blues rock, topped off with some solid pop tunes.  In the tradition of the great piano-playing singer-songwriters, such as Jackson Browne and Warren Zevon, Ericson Holt delivers a listening experience steeped in rootsy, bluesy, soul-dipped songs that showcase Holt’s poignant singing and tasty piano playing.  Veteran Ed Pettersen, with over ten years of performing and five albums to his credit, contributes his own brand of guitar driven acoustic folk, roots rock, and electric power pop to this dynamic duo’s interaction onstage.

Eve Haslam - this classic jazz singer has the pipes to belt out a big band tune with the best of them, and the vocal training & emotional instincts to deliver a love song with heartbreaking tenderness. Eve sings with her entire being, and your audience will delight in her passionate presentation of the American jazz songbook.

But you will have to reach her in Las Vegas, where she is currently making a name for herself on the local club circuit.

Fireseed - a delightful duo that plays an eclectic mixture of Celtic, Appalachian, Jazz and Original music. Crystalline Ruby Muse mesmerizes an audience with her vocals, fiddle, Irish whistle & percussion. Daniel Pac adds upright bass, piano, percussion and vocals. Fireseed's music is full of life, engaging for all age groups, and suitable for any venue or occasion.
                Now in  Massachusetts.

Laura Blackley - a singer/songwriter who mixes country heartbreak, Southern Comfort-soaked blues, and backwater gospel soul - citing influences ranging from Johnny Cash to Patty Griffin to the storytelling women in her family to Hank Williams to Bessie Smith.

"Full of soulful swagger and a natural storyteller to boot, Blackley is the most exciting thing to happen to Asheville since they blasted through sheer rock to create the Beaucatcher Tunnel..."

Lorraine Conard - progressive Americana, blues, jazz, country, folk, covers and originals.

Lorraine Conard, formerly Lorraine Buchannan, continues to woo & delight an audience with a voice & style that has become a local legend.

"A magnificent voice with style & spirit that continues to evolve and deliver amazing virtuosity with each new song added to her repertoire."

One Leg Up - One Leg Up plays gypsy jazz in the style of Django Reinhardt and Stephane Grappelli. The Parisian style of jazz is an upbeat acoustic swing with a repertoire of 1920's, 30's, and 40's jazz standards, originals, modern jazz tunes, and of course, music from the book of the virtuoso guitarist Django Reinhardt. This style of jazz is popular in clubs and festivals throughout Europe, yet it is underrepresented in America. One Leg Up is one of the few bands that plays this music in the southeast. Their show is lively, intimate, danceable, and brings about the atmosphere of French cafe music before World War II. A must see local band.

Parker Coleman - a superb guitarist with a tasteful, bluesy approach to the vintage music of the 20's, 30's, 40's and some of the 60's - all in the style of Leon Redbone.

Parker has moved to Charleston, so we don't get to hear him around here these days.
Roman Ivanoff - an excellent pianist who is also a master of the American Jazz Song Book. Whether solo, ensemble or backing up a sultry jazz vocalist, Roman Ivanoff always delivers a warm & embracing musical hug via some of the world's most romantic & enchanting jazz standards first performed by the larger than life jazz legends of the 20th century.

Sam Milner - folk singer/songwriter in the style of James Taylor, who plays an eclectic mix of acoustic rock, country rock, bluegrass, jazz, R&B and traditional folk music. Sam's original songs are wonderful portraits of people he has met on the road. "Crocodile Man", one of my personal favorites, should be a hit movie theme song. If you like music that speaks directly to your humanity and paints vivid portraits in lyric poetry, while, at the same time, moves your music muse to sway to the rhythms of the troubadour, then seek out Sam and enjoy.
Waynesville Wildcats - a classic big band era oldies jazz band that plays the most popular oldies of the 20's, 30's, 40's and 50's plus a few musical surprises. Features lots of slow dancing, easy listening jazz favorites, some Latin and a little swing. Very suitable for a wedding, classy restaurant, country club, senior birthday or retirement party, or other upscale venue.
